This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Utah Agile. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request (e.g. sending information you requested).
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about events, opportunities, or changes to this privacy policy.
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address given on our website:
If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via email at privacy@utahagile.org.
Our website address is: https://utahagile.org
We are a nonprofit, volunteer-led, professional association.
If you voluntarily sign up for our email newsletter, we collect your first name, last name, and email address through a signup form provided by our email service provider, Sender.net. We use this information solely to send you our newsletter and occasional updates about Utah Agile events and community news. Signing up is a single-step opt-in — submitting the form subscribes you immediately (our current plan with Sender.net does not support a double opt-in confirmation-email step).
Aside from the newsletter signup, we do not automatically collect any other personal information through this website. The only other way we receive your information is if you contact us directly, such as by email.
Resource: All About Cookies
Our website itself does not set any tracking cookies. We do use a cookie-free analytics
service (see "Analytics" below) and do not use any advertising cookies. The newsletter
signup form in the Subscribe section is the one exception that sets cookies: it's provided
by our email service provider, Sender.net, and their script sets a handful of cookies
(such as sender_subscriber_id and
sender_country) to identify and manage your subscription and localize the
form. Since this script is a third-party script, we don't control exactly which cookies
it sets or how that may change over time.
Because of this, we don't load that script for anyone by default. When you scroll to the Subscribe section, a banner asks whether you want to accept these cookies; the signup form (and its cookies) only load after you click Accept. If you decline, the form stays hidden and no cookies from Sender.net are set — you can change your mind later using the "Accept & show form" option that replaces the form, or email subscribe@utahagile.org and we'll add you to the newsletter manually instead, with no cookies involved on your end.
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.), such as YouTube or Vimeo videos, or event photos from Meetup. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Some video thumbnail images and event photos on this site are loaded directly from YouTube or Meetup, so that request happens automatically when the page loads — not only when you choose to play a video or click through to an event.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to this site (page views, referring sites, approximate visitor counts). Cloudflare states this service does not use cookies, local storage, or other client-side state, and does not fingerprint visitors via IP address or user agent — we use it only to see traffic levels, not to identify or target individual visitors.
If you sign up for our newsletter, your name and email address are shared with Sender.net, the email service provider we use to store subscriber information and send the newsletter. We will not sell or rent your information to anyone, and don't share it with any other third party beyond what's necessary to run the newsletter itself.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we (via Sender.net) retain your name and email address until you unsubscribe (every email includes an unsubscribe link) or ask us to delete it directly at privacy@utahagile.org.
Newsletter signups are sent to and stored by Sender.net (operated by UAB Sender.lt), which is based in Lithuania, in the European Union.
Contact us for any questions at privacy@utahagile.org
Our website itself is a static site with no server-side database, hosted on GitHub Pages — it stores nothing on its own. Newsletter signups are stored by our email service provider, Sender.net, not by us directly; we don't otherwise store any personal data collected through the website.
We notify all involved when we receive any notice of possible breach from any service we use to run this website or communicate with our community.
We don't receive any data from third parties.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling with any data we collect, including newsletter signups.
